Services and history

Bears’ Playhouse was founded during the pandemic lockdown (2021) when we recognized the pressing need for activities and support for children from families facing financial difficulties. We saw parents struggling to find a safe and engaging place for their children during the holidays while they worked, and children feeling bored and isolated at home, often lacking access to warm meals and clean water. In response, Bears’ Playhouse was created to provide a welcoming and supportive environment through the HAF Holiday Club scheme, funded by Sandwell Council. Our mission is to offer children a safe space where they can enjoy fun activities, healthy meals, and the care they deserve.
